87th Annual Eastern Region Convention
FeaturedHilton Albany 40 Lodge Street, Albany, NY, United StatesGreetings Brothers of the Eastern Region, In accordance with Article III, Section 2.3 of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity – Constitution, the leadership of the Eastern Region is pleased to present the official Convention Call for the 87th Anniversary Eastern Region Convention of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, to be held April 25 – April 28, 2019, in Albany, New York. This year our convention theme is “The Unending fight for freedom, equality, and fraternity.” – Alpha Lighting the Future. The purpose of this theme is us arming the Region, the Districts, Areas, Chapters, and Members with training that will strengthen our engagement in the communities we serve and ourselves. As you will see from the attached schedule, we want to address real issues while providing training to increase our political, economic and personal standing, while purposely addressing “The Urgency of Now.” Each workshop will focus on a specific group of brothers with the purpose of raising their “ALPHAIQ”! This year the regional convention will have specific educational tracks that brothers will attend which focus on their core skill sets or desires. This year our convention theme is An Inescapable Responsibility to Shape the Future of the World — A Global Platform! The purpose of this theme is us arming the Region, Districts, Areas, Chapters and Members with training that will strengthen our engagement in the communities we serve and ourselves. Philadelphia Convention Center 1101 Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA, United StatesCALL TO CONVENTION Dear Brothers, In accordance with Article V, Section 1.2 of the Constitution of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., I do hereby issue the “Official Call” for the ‘Men of Distinction’ of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. to convene for the 98th General Convention and 119th Anniversary Convention, July 16-20, 2025, at the Philadelphia Convention Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The theme of our convention is “Reimagining Alpha for the Future,” which ushers in a new era for Alpha. In prior administrations, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. has dedicated itself to much needed critical evaluation, internal development, and the strengthening of our foundation and Brotherhood. As a result, we are now poised and prepared to be fearless in encouraging new, bold, and creative ideas embracing best practices that inform, engage, and mobilize our Brotherhood for our noble work along with technology that ensure our sustainability and competitiveness for the future. 36th NYACOA District Convention
Buffalo, NYIn accordance with Article IV, section 5.5 of the New York Association of Chapters of Alpha constitution, we are pleased to issue the official Convention Call for the 36th Anniversary NYACOA/District III Convention, to be held on November 13-16, 2025. This year’s convention will be held in Buffalo, NY at Buffalo State University. Our host chapters for the convention are the Rho Lambda, Delta Epsilon, and Phi Omicron. We could not be more excited about the Brothers of Buffalo hosting us this year.
This year’s theme is “The Gateway to Greatness.”
