Bro. Michael Wotorson Appointed Chairman of the National Investment Commission (NIC) for Liberia

Bro. Michael S. WotorsonEarlier this fall, on Saturday, September 7, 2013, Her Excellency Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, President of Liberia, appointed Bro. Michael Wotorson as Chairman of the National Investment Commission (NIC) for Liberia. Prior to his appointment, Bro. Wotorson served as Technical Advisor at OIC International, Executive Director of the Campaign for High School Equity (CHSE).  He also served as National Education Director at the NAACP National Office.   In his new role, Bro. Wotorson will be responsible for all major investments and concessions in Liberia.
Bro. Wotorson continues to serve his fraternity and country with distinction. The fraternity benefited from his leadership as Mid-West Assistant Vice President, (1989-1990) and Former Missouri State President.  He also held the position of Secretary-General of the Union of Liberian Associations in the Americas (ULAA).
Bro. Wotorson has earned numerous awards and decorations, including Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, American University Doctoral Studies Fellowship, University of Missouri-Columbia Professional/Graduate Disciplinary Study Fellowship, Alpha Phi Alpha, Beta Lambda Outstanding College Brother of the Year (1989).
He holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in Political Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia and an ABD in Education Administration from American University.

Bro. Wotorson was initiated into Zeta Alpha Chapter (Columbia, Missouri) in 1987 where he served with excellence.  He is currently the Chairman of the World Policy Council and the Director of Membership and Intake for Eta Epsilon Lambda Chapter, Monrovia, Liberia.
