BALTIMORE, MD – August 5, 2013 –The Eastern Region of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity is pleased to announce the appointment of over 80 members into key leadership positions within the region. The appointments which are key to operating a region – which extends from New England to Virginia and includes Bermuda, Germany. Liberia, South Africa and the United Kingdom – were made by R. Anthony Mills, Eastern Region Vice President and Brandon R Johnson, Eastern Region Assistant Vice President, following recommendations from the Regional Transition Team.

The selections were recommended by the Regional Transition Team conducted a thorough 6-week selection process to provide a listing of recommendations to the Eastern Region Vice President. The Regional Transition Team, led by E. Chris Washington (Xi Alpha Lambda Chapter – Prince William County, VA) included: Maurice Hawkins (Nu Delta Lambda – Chesapeake, VA), Tyrone “Rab” Highsmith (Rho – Philadelphia, PA), Steven King, Jr (Beta Sigma Lambda – Hartford, CT), Diallo Rabain (Bermuda), Dr. Dontae L. Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity

Eastern Region of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity

The Eastern Region of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., affectionately known as AlphaEast, was founded in 1932; making AlphaEast the “birth place of Alpha.” The region comprises seven districts that cover 12 states in the geographical areas between Virginia and New England, and the international areas of Bermuda, Germany, Liberia, South Africa and the United Kingdom.
