Today, we pause to honor every man and woman who has worn the uniform of the United States Armed Forces. Your courage has protected our freedom, and your sacrifice continues to strengthen our great nation.

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. ® was founded on the enduring principles of manly deeds, scholarship, and love for all mankind. We proudly salute the brave veterans within our Brotherhood and across the nation. From the battlefields to the home front, our Brothers have exemplified leadership, discipline, and service that reflect the highest traditions of military excellence.

In the Eastern Region, we remain steadfastly aligned with the General Organization’s structure, uniting our efforts across Military Affairs and Veterans Affairs. Through this alignment, we ensure that Alpha men who have served—and those who continue to serve—receive the recognition, resourcing, and programming they deserve. Together, we strengthen our collective impact while advancing the Fraternity’s mission of service and advocacy.

At a time when our nation faces uncertainty in the political and social environment, the example of our veterans reminds us that courage and conviction must prevail over complacency and division. Their unwavering commitment to duty calls each of us to act—with integrity, with compassion, and with purpose. Let this moment renew our determination to lead, to serve, and to uphold the values that safeguard democracy and dignity for all.

As we honor those who have served, let us also renew our commitment to serve others. The same spirit that moved our veterans to defend liberty must inspire each of us to advance justice, uplift humanity, and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood. In doing so, we live out our Fraternity’s timeless motto: “First of All, Servants of All, We Shall Transcend All.”
