Greetings Brothers of Alpha East,
It is with great pride, humility, and heartfelt appreciation that I greet you in the bonds of our dear fraternity, now in the official capacity as your 30th Eastern Regional Vice President. It is the honor of a lifetime to serve Alpha East and to embark on this new chapter alongside our Eastern Regional Assistant Vice President, Brother Jeremy Henderson. Together, we are steadfast in our commitment to ensuring that Alpha East not only meets the moment, but also leads it.
The Smith/Henderson Administration is energized and ready to usher in a new era of Alpha V.I.P.—Value, Impact, and Progress. This vision will guide our work as we strive to deliver meaningful support and elevated engagement to every Brother across our historic region. We recognize that Alpha East is home to some of the most dedicated and dynamic Brothers in this illustrious fraternity, and we are determined to honor that legacy through intentional, innovative, and inclusive leadership.
Even now, the groundwork for this administration is well underway:
- Finalizing the appointment of new regional officers and committee chairs (which will be shared in a forthcoming correspondence),
- Developing our First 100 Days Action Plan, and
- Planning surrounding the location and dates for the 2026 Eastern Regional Convention (details to follow).
Brother Henderson and I are fully committed to providing Valuable service, creating Impactful experiences, and advancing the Progress of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. in the Eastern Region. We will do so by listening, leading with purpose, and leaning into the collective brilliance of our Brotherhood.Please stay tuned for regular updates across all of our communication platforms.
