DESCRIPTION:CALL TO CONVENTION\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDear Brothers\, \nIn accordance with Article V\, Section 1.2 of the Constitution of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity\, Inc.\, I do hereby issue the “Official Call” for the ‘Men of Distinction’ of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity\, Inc. to convene for the 98th General Convention and 119th Anniversary Convention\, July 16-20\, 2025\, at the Philadelphia Convention Center in Philadelphia\, Pennsylvania. \nThe theme of our convention is “Reimagining Alpha for the Future\,” which ushers in a new era for Alpha. In prior administrations\, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity\, Inc. has dedicated itself to much needed critical evaluation\, internal development\, and the strengthening of our foundation and Brotherhood.  \nAs a result\, we are now poised and prepared to be fearless in encouraging new\, bold\, and creative ideas embracing best practices that inform\, engage\, and mobilize our Brotherhood for our noble work along with technology that ensure our sustainability and competitiveness for the future.  \nFor this convention\, we will utilize our new Sphinx Hub Mobile App\, which now replaces Guidebook for maintaining the event schedule and updates as well as eliminates MailChimp for any newsletters and messaging. It also encapsulates Alpha MX\, Alpha University\, the former\, Alpha Elite. \nWe will focus on a specific group of Brothers with the purpose of raising their ALPHAIQ!  We have planned a more streamlined\, poignant\, and intentional experience for our General Business Sessions thanks to Official Pre-Convention Meetings and Workshops eliminating much of the time-consuming\, but necessary background\, discussion\, and mandated completion. \nWithin our leadership\, we welcome new General Board members and elect our next General Treasurer as well as celebrate those rolling off our General Board. \nThe 98th General Convention and 119th Anniversary Convention\, as always\, is not only about the work of Alpha\, but is also a celebration and a time for connection. DESCRIPTION:Greetings Brothers of the Eastern Region\, \nIn accordance with Article III\, Section 2.3 of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity — Constitution\, the leadership of the Eastern Region is pleased to present the official Convention Call for the 88th Anniversary Eastern Region Convention of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity\, Incorporated to be held April 2nd – April 5th\, 2020\, in the country of Bermuda. \nThis year our convention theme is An Inescapable Responsibility to Shape the Future of the World — A Global Platform! The purpose of this theme is us arming the Region\, Districts\, Areas\, Chapters and Members with training that will strengthen our engagement in the communities we serve and ourselves. As you will see from the attached schedule\, we want to address real issues while providing training to increase our political\, economic and global standing of Alpha while purposely addressing The Urgency of Now. \nEach workshop will focus on a specific group of brothers with the purpose of raising their ALPHAIQ! As usual\, this year the regional convention will have specific educational tracks that brothers will attend which focus on their core skill sets or desires. \nWe also plan to Rebrand\, Rebuild and Redefine Alpha the brotherhood through our trainings as well. We want to engage Brothers in bringing The Alpha Evolution to fruition.
